16-19 Full Time

What to Expect from Your Course

Our full-time courses are all about getting you ready for what comes next, whether that’s jumping straight into a job after college or heading to university.

You’ll focus on one main subject to gain the skills you need for a career in that field, and you’ll be taught by industry expert lecturer s who have been in the industry so they know exactly what you need to learn. Plus, as part of your study programme, you’ll pick up a whole set of other useful skills along the way, so you’ll have options if you ever want to change direction.

You’ll also benefit from our superb facilities where you’ll learn in a real-life working environment, with a range of advanced industry-standard equipment, and you’ll receive plenty of support throughout your time with us.

Course Structure

Classes: You’ll have about 15–18 hours of classes each week, spread across three or four days (excluding any additional time for re-sitting English and/or maths). This gives you some flexibility, but keep in mind you’ll also need to set aside time for doing home study and assignments outside of these hours.

Main subject qualification: This is the main part of your course. You’ll dive deep into your chosen subject, learning the skills and knowledge employers want. Your lecturers have up-to-date and real-life experience, so they are highly skilled and know what they’re talking about.

Work placements: Most courses include a work placement so you can get a feel for the industry. Depending on your course, you might do a one-week placement (37 hours) or a longer placement that’s at least 45 days throughout the year.

English & maths: If your GCSE grades are 4 or higher, you’ll continue to develop your English and maths skills through your main course. If they’re below 4, you’ll need to re-take GCSEs or do functional skills qualifications. These requirements will be part of your timetable alongside your main subject.

Tutorial & enrichment programme: You’ll have regular tutorials to help you figure out your future and work on becoming your best self. We’ll also cover different topics to give you a broader perspective on life, society and career paths.

What our students have to say

Holly – T Level Digital Production, Design & Development

“My favourite thing about the T Level has to be the work placement. This gives you hands-on experience with real companies in the sector. I’ve been to smaller companies and a large Government organisation, which has provided me a greater understanding of the workplace compared to students taking A-Levels.”

Rhys – Level 2 Barbering

“I have always wanted to do barbering and college let me put all my passion into one subject. Their salon meant I could practice my skills with real clients which prepared me for work. My lecturer has loads of industry experience and was always giving us tips and tricks and what is best to do in a professional salon.”

Rin – Level 3 Media

“It has been great to be able to focus on one subject and really put all my effort into something I am passionate about. I enjoyed the live assignments as they helped to put what I had learnt into practice and the work experience was really valuable as well. I feel very prepared for university and my future career.”
