Shape your future with T Levels

Looking for a hands-on qualification that prepares you for your dream career or university aspirations? T Levels might be just what you’re looking for.

What Are T Levels?

T Levels are a highly credible alternative to A Levels which provides you with a meaningful industry placement putting you ahead of the game with the advanced knowledge, technical skills and work experience that employers are looking for.

  • 2-year qualification
  • 1 T Level equivalent to 3 A Levels
  • 80% in college 20% in work
  • 45-day industry placement
  • Designed with leading employers to give you the workplace skills you need to succeed
  • Awarded UCAS points for university entry
  • Excellent progression opportunities – setting you up for a successful career

Here’s how it works:

Technical Qualification (80%): Most of your time will be spent at college gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on skills in your chosen field. You’ll be learning from industry experts in our state-of-the-art facilities all while working on real-world projects that build up your skills and expertise
Industry Placement (20%): The remaining part of your T Level involves a significant placement with an employer – around 45 days (9 weeks) – where you’ll get to put your skills into practice in a real job setting. It’s your chance to gain valuable experience and make connections that could launch your career

Why T Levels Might Be Right for You

T Levels offer a unique blend of learning styles. In your first year, you’ll focus on building a solid foundation in your chosen field. Then, in the second year, you’ll dive deeper into specialised subjects, becoming an expert in what interests you. You’ll be assessed through a mix of exams, coursework, and on-the-job evaluations, so you’re tested on both what you know and what you can do.

By the end of your T Level, you’ll have a qualification equivalent to three A Levels, complete with UCAS points. This opens doors to a range of next steps, from jumping straight into your career, to taking on a Higher Apprenticeship, or moving on to university or higher technical qualifications.

How Do T Levels Compare?

  • T Level: 80% at college, 20% on industry placement
  • Apprenticeship: 20% at college, 80% in employment
  • A Level: 100% in the classroom

Entry Requirements

To get started with a T Level, you’ll need at least five GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and maths.
