Day 2
Today we visited the national natural history museum of Arusha. We met with a tour guide who showed us around the museum and giving us information about the human evolution, how they taxidermy animals and information about all different types of animals and how to tell apart the different genders. We also saw a 200 year old tortoise called tom, 4 year old tortoises (and we held them), we saw an eagle and white mice. I enjoyed the museum so much, I loved seeing all the animals and learning about the evolution. After that, we then went to a local restaurant for lunch. During the ride to lunch, Ben (our tour guy taking us everywhere) taught us some words in their language. Hi is Jambo and Thank you very much is Asante sana. Then we went to the Arusha national park and met with another guy who explained the purpose of the national park and what his company does. Then we came back to the lodge and chilled until dinner. At dinner the chef and the waiters sung us a couple of their songs and explained it to us. The song meant “Welcome to Tanzania, you’re welcome and your smiles make us happy” , we then showed them some songs from England. We sung them Sweet Caroline , Mr Bright side and showed them the cha cha slide and more. It was nice to interact with them and the others.
