Tanzania Day 3 🇹🇿

Student: Ellie Rowan

Country: Tanzania

Day 3
We started off the day by visiting the African art museum. The art was beautiful and held such a beautiful story behind each piece and I loved seeing all the animal statues. After that, we visited the Shanga foundation found in the Arusha coffee lodge. The Shanga foundation was made to help people with disabilities. Their companies quote “Kindness is a language which blind people see and deaf people hear”. We saw how they made blankets, bags, towels, bracelets, beads and many more then we saw someone glass blowing and make an elephant. It was so impressive and the elephant was so cute. Everyone there was so sweet. Then we went for lunch at a popular sports bar and that was amazing. I had beef with chips and rice but couldn’t finish it all as it was so filling. It was quite busy as today was still apart of their easter holiday so everyone was celebrating. Finally, we visited the Tanzania tourism board and learnt about how they promote the trips to Africa and the tourist attractions inside and outside the country. It was nice to hear about how they do it. After we came back to the lodge, chilled and had dinner.
