Day-6:
The day started with a 3 hour drive up to Mochi town to go to the gates of mount Kilimanjaro unfortunately we could see much as it was raining and very cloudy. After that we went to a college where a teacher done a tour and told us how college and school is in Tanzania.
We managed to see students doing military exercises as it is compulsory to do military training there. we also got to see what was like an underground base with tunnels that goes up to the river, it was build in the 18th century so that people could escape or hide without no one knowing. After that we had another 3 hour drive up to the Masai tribes where we got to experience their culture and way of living.
When we arrived we were greeted with their welcoming song and dances that was quite fascinating to watch. after dinner we all sat around the fire pit and i had the opportunity to speak with one of the members of the Masai tribe and I got to learn the fact that he could speak multiple languages such as french, Spanish, Chinese, German and lots more. after that it was time to go to bed and we were staying in mud huts. we didn’t have any way of charging our phone and as we were in the middle of nowhere we had no wifi and no date available. I think I slept pretty well even tho the mattress was really hard but not everyone slept well that night.
