Day 4

Student: Rio Bhatti

Country: USA

– Another early start for a packed day: Harvard, MIT, and the British Consulate.
– Took the metro into the city and got off at Harvard Station — the heat was relentless.
– Met our Harvard tour guide and walked the grounds (sadly not allowed inside anywhere). I was especially hoping to see the science centre, so bit disappointed there.
– After Harvard, we made our way to MIT — which I personally preferred.
– The MIT guide was top-tier: gave a talk in one of the lecture rooms, answered our questions, and took us to see key areas like the nanotech lab.
– After wrapping up at MIT, we made our way to the British Consulate at 1 Broadway — but not before a quick (and now traditional) Dunkin’ stop.
– Inside, we met David Clay, the British Consul. He spoke on the consulate’s work and answered our questions on foreign policy, trade, climate, and more.
– Wrapped up and headed home — easily one of the longest, busiest, and most rewarding days so far. Might’ve set a personal record for water intake.
