Day 12-
Today we woke up and headed to breakfast but when we got there I wasn’t really feeling too hungry. After everyone had eaten we headed back upstairs and got ready for the day. We got in the bus at 9:30 and headed to the waterfall and coffee place.
At the coffee place, we got to watch how coffee beans are made and then grinned into granules. They first took us took us to the forest area where the trees are grown; it takes 4-5 years to grow a tree and they are only ready when they are red, if they are green they need to be left on the tree. They then grind them to get the outer layer off and then roast them. While they do this they sing a Tanzania song. After them being roasted they get grinned down to granulated coffee. We then go to go upstairs where we had a cup of fresh coffee.
After the cup of coffee we walked down the road towards the waterfall. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go right down to the waterfall front as the steps were made of tyres and it was unsafe as it had been raining all morning and they would we slippery. We still got to see it from the bridge and take photos. I then brought coffee granules that were made in front of us which was really cool to take home coffee made from Africa. After this we headed to a supermarket to get lunch for tomorrow and then headed to lunch.
For lunch, we had KFC, which was AMAZING to have fatty food instead of rice and beef. We ate it around the pool and it was nice as the sun was still out so we got to eat in the sun. After this, we went upstairs to sort out our suitcases and i made sure i had my outfits out for the safari and the airport.
For dinner we had noodles rice and beef but i didn’t eat it as i was still full from lunch. We then headed to bed to get a good nights sleep for tomorrow.
