Day 4
We started the day by going to the TAWA foundation building. We were shown a presentation explaining what they do. I learnt that they educate stakeholders on the values of wildlife resources and protection. They explained the challenges they face, how they don’t have enough equipment for their patrol team and how they lack modern technology.

We then went for lunch at the same place as the first day we were here and saw the same staff and it was nice to see them again. Then after that, we went for a walk in the forest. And it was such an experience for everyone. The start of the walk was normal, sun shining, sweating a bit . Then we were walking then we hit a dead end and had to go back, and while walking back we walked over an ant nest. Everyone started getting bitten, everyone started screaming and it was so funny. We then had to get piggy back across a river as we couldn’t walk through it. We then made our way back to the lodge. Dinner was really nice.

All our trainers were so dirty from the walk. So me, Kenzie and Phoebe went into our shower and started cleaning our shoes with the bidet and toilet brush. Now our shoes are nice and clean.
