Sexual Harassment and Misconduct

A key part of our safeguarding work is to ensure we challenge any instance of Sexual Harassment or Misconduct within our college group. We are committed to working proactively to protect students from all forms of harassment and sexual misconduct and ensure robust, fair processes are in place when incidents occur.

What is Sexual Harassment and Misconduct

Sexual Harassment can be defined as conduct of a sexual nature that has the purpose or effect of violating someone’s dignity, or creating an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment. It could also include less favourable treatment that occurs because of a rejection of, or submission to, sexual conduct.

Sexual Misconduct refers to a range of unwelcome behaviours of a sexual nature that violate personal boundaries, dignity and consent, including but not limited to sexual harassment, sexual assault and rape.

If you have an experience which is not covered by these definitions, or you are unsure of the nature of your experience, we can still support you
