Flexible pathways to success 

Levels of study:

  • Access to Higher Education: For those without necessary qualifications for degree entry, offering pathways in a range of subject areas
  • Level 4 – Higher National Certificates (HNC): Develop skills from Level 3, equivalent to first year of a Bachelor’s degree. Progress to Higher National Diploma (HND)
  • Level 5 – Higher National Diploma (HND): Advance practical and theoretical knowledge, equivalent to the second year of a Bachelor’s degree, with option to ‘top-up’ to a full degree
  • Level 6 – Bachelor’s Degree: Complete your degree with options to ‘top-up’ from a Foundation Degree or HND
  • NVQs and HTQs: Gain technical, competence-based qualifications from Level 4 to Level 6 

Progression and support

Our university level programmes are designed to support your career and progression from Level 3 or T Level courses to full undergraduate qualifications and beyond. We also provide opportunities for students to enter the second or third year of complementary courses at partner universities, allowing them to ‘top-up’ their qualifications.
