The Course in Detail

An excellent opportunity for young people aged 7 – 11 to be inspired by the fascinating world of engineering through a 3-day practical workshop (10am – 3pm) over the Easter holidays.

Being held at our specialist Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training (CEMAST), and fully supported by our industry expert lecturers, this is a must-attend course for any young person who likes to problem-solve and with an interest in STEM subjects.

Day 1

  • Tour and make ID badges
  • Health & safety theory and workshop crime scene
  • 3D printing and CAD theory
  • CAD practical

Day 2

  • Automotive theory
  • Automotive workshop session
  • AR / VR / flight simulator / balloon cars

Day 3

  • Balloon car race
  • Water rockets
  • Engineering-related treasure hunt

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

This course is designed for 7-11 year olds with an interest in engineering.

You will need to bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks.

The course runs for 3 days, 10am – 3pm, at our specialist CEMAST training centre in Lee-on-the-Solent.

Payment is required to secure your place.
