Students will be supported to create a video production of their own devising. You will be expected to have a basic familiarity with video production techniques
You will be supported to develop a treatment for a video production of your own devising, which could be a promotional video for your business, a short form documentary or even a piece of fiction filmmaking.
You will have access to a course tutor to discuss your ideas with and receive feedback. You will shoot the video away from class and receive support to edit and plan further shoots during class time.

Entry Requirements & Progression
What You'll Need
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, participants will be using editing software on a laptop and an understanding of computer basics is essential.
Students will be expected to have a familiarity with the basic techniques of video production and may wish to complete our Video Production for Beginners (Community Course) before enrolling.
Students will also need to have access to sufficient equipment to enable them to shoot and edit video away from college. For professional results, this is likely to include a decent camera, a tripod, a set of external microphones and a laptop with video editing software installed, although a phone with an application like CapCut installed will be sufficient.
Any questions about equipment or software can be asked during the application process.
