This Could Lead to

Counselling is a fulfilling, impactful and truly valuable career choice for anyone looking to support people through challenging periods in their life. One popular and respected modality of counselling is humanistic counselling. Curated in collaboration with University of Portsmouth, the BSc (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling teaches students how to deliver this person-centred counselling modality. Humanism is built on human freedom, dignity and potential. Humanistic counselling, therefore, aims to show empathy, warmth and genuineness, promoting client’s to tap into their own self-understanding and psychological growth. You will be taught through role-play, and learn about the ethical dilemmas, professional and legal issues that contribute to the sector. Delivered across two semesters – and taught from Eastleigh College – you will leave with a clear, actionable understanding of the benefit of humanistic counselling and how to safely deliver it to people from all backgrounds and experiences.
