The Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician Apprenticeship is perfect to help further advance your career in the Accounting sector, and may lead to credits towards professional Chartered status qualifications and relevant undergraduate degree programmes.
Your job role may exist in an accounting practice, a professional services company, HMRC or the accounting function of a business or other organisation.
On this apprenticeship, you will have responsibility for creating, and/or verifying and reviewing accurate and timely financial information within the organisation in which you’re employed or on behalf of another organisation. This will be performed in order to meet relevant ethical, professional and legal standards, and will utilise your knowledge of the business systems and processes, as well as standard accounting and tax practices. This Level 4 Apprenticeship allows you to register with a number of UK professional accounting bodies including: ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or ICAEW.

You will develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours through on and off-the-job training and are expected to attend College for pre-arranged masterclasses.
You will need to have relevant employment, and entry is subject to interview and assessment.
You will need an Advanced Accounting Apprenticeship, with Merit or Distinction in Level 3 AAT, AND GCSE English and maths grade 4/C or above (or Level 2 functional skills) are preferred.
Successful completion of this Level 4 apprenticeship may lead to credits towards professional Chartered status qualifications and for progression on to relevant undergraduate degree programmes.
Your progress will be continuously monitored and supported by a Professional Trainer.
Depending on the standard, we assess your competence through various methods, such as practical exams, assignments, interviews, project work, presentations or observations and we will also evaluate your portfolio of evidence, which documents your learning and progress throughout your apprenticeship with us.
The apprenticeship end-point assessment is the final evaluation stage of your apprenticeship programme. It's designed to determine whether you have achieved the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet the apprenticeship standard and perform the job role independently.
Successful completion of the end-point assessment is required to receive certification.
