The Course in Detail

 

This exciting new Level 3 technical qualification, equivalent to three A Levels, will ensure you have the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical study in the education and childcare sector. It provides a mixture of both core and specialist knowledge over a two-year period, and as part of the T Level programme you will carry out an extensive practical industry placement in an early years’ setting (750 hours over two years).
In the second year you will choose one occupational specialism, either Early Years Education & Childcare or Assisting Teaching, where you will build on the core knowledge and develop specialist knowledge and practical experience required for your chosen career.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

You will need five GCSEs at grades 4-9, or equivalent (including English and maths)
 
OR
 
A relevant Level 2 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent.

This Could Lead to

Upon successful completion of this Level 3 course, you can progress to a range of university-level courses, this can include HNC/HND qualifications within the college group or courses at university.

You can also progress into skilled employment or into a higher-level apprenticeship.
