Equivalent to three A Levels, this course is developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that the content meets industry standards and prepares you for the world of work.

Taught by industry expert lecturers, you’ll engage in a dynamic blend of practical workshop sessions and theoretical learning, covering essential topics such as how materials and conditions influence design processes, the mathematics used in engineering, and advanced techniques like CAD design and 3D printing. You’ll also explore the principles of mechanical engineering, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the field.

Throughout the course, you’ll cover a broad range of topics, including:

• Working within the Engineering and Manufacturing Sectors
• Engineering and manufacturing requirements, systems, processes, technical drawings, and specifications
• CAD designs and interpretations
• 3D printing
• Mechanical engineering
• Employer-set projects

You’ll also develop core skills in areas like customer and client requirements, principles of design, design processes, and communication in design.

Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise in one of the following occupational areas:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical and Electronic Engineering

A key part of this T Level is the extensive industry placement, where you’ll spend at least 45 days with an engineering employer. This invaluable experience will allow you to put the skills you’ve learned into practice, gain insights into the industry, and enhance your employability.

By the end of the course, you’ll have built a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of engineering, along with real-world industry experience.
