Elevate your culinary skills with our professional advanced level Cookery Course, designed for ambitious chefs and is is an ideal progression from our Level 2 programme. This comprehensive programme encompasses both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing you for a successful career in fine dining and professional kitchens.
A strong commitment to the culinary arts, excellent timekeeping, and attendance are essential. You will lead the operation of a professional kitchen, honing your skills in both cooking and management.
You will engage in a mix of practical assignments, written exams, and hands-on work in our state-of-the-art kitchens and commercial restaurants. Under the guidance of experienced chef lecturers, you’ll prepare, cook, and present a variety of complex dishes, showcasing your creativity and technical skills.
You will be observed during cooking sessions, demonstrating your culinary expertise, and complete written assignments to showcase your understanding, including presentations as part of your coursework. You’ll participate in creating themed and special event menus, allowing you to apply your skills in a real-world setting. A compulsory work placement will provide invaluable experience in a professional environment.

You will need a relevant Level 2 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent.
Once completed you can progress into the industry or an apprenticeship.
Career opportunities include chefs and chefs de partie in hotels, large restaurant chains or on cruise ships, cooks in hospitals or schools.
