Our newly developed ward and home care simulation facility offer a unique learning environment where you can develop practical skills and gain hands-on experience in a safe and supportive setting. Through immersive simulations and practical exercises, you will hone your abilities to assess, plan, and deliver high-quality care to individuals in need, preparing you for the challenges and responsibilities of real-world practice. You will benefit from high quality work experience in social care settings as well as having your learning enhanced by a wealth of guest speakers and personal development opportunities.
This programme is suitable for 16 – 19 year olds. A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C / 9-4, including Grade 4 in English and Maths is required. Learners may be able to retake English or maths alongside their main study programme if they have the necessary 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C / 9-4.
For internal progression it is expected that you will have achieved a minimum of an A at Level 2 and have achieved GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or higher as well as demonstrating that you have upheld the college values.
You must attend an interview and demonstrate an interest in health and social care and commitment to study. You will also require a satisfactory DBS check.
