Unleash Your Sound with this Music Performance Course
Are you ready to elevate your musical talent and explore the vibrant music industry?

This course focuses on developing your performance, theoretical, and instrumental skills while offering a deep dive into the workings of the music business. You’ll engage with industry-standard equipment and software, learning about popular music and honing your craft through a variety of theoretical and practical projects, including original recordings and music videos.

Throughout your two years, you’ll gain valuable live performance experience, taking the stage in our newly refurbished college theatre and at renowned venues across the South, such as The Wedgewood Rooms and The 1865 in Southampton, you will even get to experience concert style events in one of our Theatres with support from Production Arts students creating bespoke lighting for your performance.

Each term culminates in the creation and promotion of a significant music event, providing you with hands-on experience in event management and a platform to showcase your talent.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

You will need five GCSEs at grades 4-9, or equivalent (including English and maths)
 
OR
 
Relevant Level 2 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent
 
AND
 
Two-minute audition to demonstrate your practical/performance skills.

This Could Lead to

Successful completion of this course will open the doors towards studying a relevant HNC or HND, University Degree or an Apprenticeship to further your skills.

You may also progress into employment within the industry.
