This one-year creative pre-degree course is the perfect transition year between A-levels/Level 3 courses and university or art school. It enables you to creative explore you practice enabling you to be sure of your subject choice at degree or HNC/HND level.
This UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design gives you the chance to explore and experiment with a wide range of project-based art and design activities, to develop your portfolio and prepare you to move on to a range of undergraduate degrees. It will enable you to build on your existing skills, and offer new practical, critical and theoretical experiences.
The course is run by specialist teachers and provides a structure to assist you in making informed choices for your future education and career. We encourage you to explore different ways of working and thinking so that you identify your strengths, before deciding which particular art and design direction to follow.
We have excellent rates of progression to Honours Degrees at universities across the country as well as our own degree-level HNCs and HNDs. We also have strong connections with many universities especially those locally with partnership agreements guaranteeing an interview.
