Right now, it’s a particularly exciting time to be getting involved with the industry, with trends continually evolving and social media playing a bigger role than ever before.
In this Level 2 Women’s Hairdressing course, you’ll learn to cut, style, dress, and colour hair using a range of techniques.
You’ll train in our fully equipped, on-site commercial hair salons and work with real paying clients, using your skills, communication, and creativity to create a look that they love.
You’ll also benefit from trips, guest speakers, industry competitions and work experience to boost your employability and future career.
Hairdressing is a valuable skill that will always be needed and can take you anywhere in the world, from working in media, fashion and other creative industries, to travelling with cruise ships, or running your own salon.
You will need four GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent (including English and maths. Science is also preferred
OR
Relevant Level 1 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 3-9, or equivalent.
Upon successful completion of this Level 2 course, you may be able to progress onto Level 3 Women’s Hairdressing to advance your skills and career opportunities.
Alternatively you can progress into an apprenticeship or entry level employment in the hairdressing industry. You can work in commercial salons, spas, cruise ships or hotel chains.
