This course is fully online – students are required to have access to a PC or laptop, a mobile phone is not suitable.
The Level 2 Certiciate is for students who wish to progress to further learning at Level 3 and then into higher education. It is aimed primarily at students who wish to pursue a career in one of the health science professions which require vocational study at university, but who are not yet ready to study at Level 3. This may be because of gaps in their skills or knowledge, perhaps because their schooling was interrupted or disrupted, or because they are returning to study after bringing up a family. Students who may be in this position include those who need to:
• Build a foundation of knowledge and understanding in an unfamiliar vocational area
• Prepare for higher level study after some time away from formal education
• Build the confidence, skills, knowledge and understanding required to progress on to Level 3 academic study
• Achieve an appropriate formal qualification in order to progress to a Skills and Education Group Access to HE Diploma (Health Science Professions)
• Gain a substantial full Level 2 qualification

The Level 2 Certificate is made up of 25 Credits so learners will need to study for about 250 hours.
This course courses is taught online through live, lecturer-led weekly classes, giving you regular support and the opportunity to learn alongside other students. They are not self-paced or independent study programmes. As part of your course, our lecturers will carry out observations and provide individual support, so students must be based in Hampshire or the surrounding area.

What You'll Need
The Level 2 Diploma is primarily designed to enable students with few formal or appropriate qualifications to progress to the Access to HE Diploma.
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification but a full IAG and initial assessment will be requested.
