*This is a progression only course. There is no direct entry without first completing Level 1 Electrical Installation.
In this course, you’ll continue to develop your electrical installation skills, learning advanced techniques that will allow you to gain employment in the industry. This will include installing wiring systems, safely closing electrical installations, inspecting and testing, and more.
This course involves scientific and mathematical development such as exploring current, magnetism, electrical generation, working with equations and geometry .
You’ll gain all the knowledge and skills required to become a skilled Electrician, plus you’ll benefit from trips, guest speakers, and a work placement to give you real experience in your future career.
You will need a relevant Level 1 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent.
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 course, you may be able to progress to our T Level Building Services Engineering (Electrical) to advance your skills, or alternatively into an advanced apprenticeship.
