The course gives you all the basic skills required for the men’s industry covering:- – Client Consultation & Diagnosis – Blow Drying mens hair – Shampooing & Conditioning Hair and Scalp – Create basic patterns in hair – Health & Safety in the Salon – Cutting mens facial hair – Promote additional services or products – Cutting mens hair You will also learn how to retail products and advise clients on aftercare. As in most salons you will need to be able to promote additional services and products. To enable you to do this we will help you develop promotional and customer service skills. NVQ 2 Diploma in Barbering is an internationally recognised qualification within the hair and beauty industry and will allow you to gain employment within the beauty industry. Your theory and practical work will be continually assessed throughout the course. A portfolio will be built up containing assignments, projects, practical work and tests. The course is a careful balance of theory and practical work. You will be able to gain extra experience in the College salon and reception area.
