Develop your counselling skills with this nationally recognised Level 2 Certificate, delivered through flexible online learning. This course is ideal for anyone looking to develop their understanding of counselling approaches, communication skills and how to provide effective support to others.
Counselling skills can be valuable in a wide range of personal and professional settings. This course will introduce you to key counselling theories, communication techniques and the importance of self-awareness, reflection and ethical practice when supporting others.
Throughout the course, you’ll explore the core skills used within counselling relationships, different theoretical approaches and the importance of respecting individual experiences and perspectives. Important info: This course is delivered online with trainer support but is not trainer-led. It may not meet the entry requirements for Level 3 counselling courses delivered online or face-to-face.
For the Unit 4 assessment, you will need to provide evidence of your counselling skills through either a recorded demonstration or an observation by an appropriate witness. The witness must hold a qualification in counselling skills and South Hampshire College Group may contact the witness to validate their qualifications and experience.
Please note – This online learning course is only available to learners living within Hampshire and close surrounding areas. Applications from outside these areas will be returned.
