The industry is growing fast, with major regeneration projects taking place across the UK and thousands of new homes planned every year. Our Level 2 Construction and the Built Environment course will help you build the practical skills and industry knowledge needed to take your first step into this exciting sector.
During this one-year course, you will explore a wide range of topics linked to construction, building design and the built environment. You will develop an understanding of modern construction methods, sustainability within the industry, construction technology, design and drawing techniques, and the scientific and mathematical principles used in construction projects.You will also gain insight into areas such as civil engineering, surveying, tendering and estimating.
As part of your course, you will also complete valuable industry work experience, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills in a real working environment and build confidence for your future career.
Entry Requirements & Progression
What You'll Need
You will need a relevant Level 1 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths grades 4-9, or equivalent.
This full-time course is designed for young people aged 16-18 (or up to 24 if supported with an EHCP).
This Could Lead to
Once completed you may be able to progress into an apprenticeship or entry level employment in the construction industry.
