The Course in Detail

Are you interested in exploring your creativity and pursuing a career in the creative and visual arts? If so this one-year course is an excellent place to start.

There are endless career opportunities in the creative sector, with artists and designers contributing to everything we buy and see in the world around us, from book covers, packaging, advertising, to fashion, architecture, and much more.

This course will give you a strong foundation to work with a range of disciplines, such as drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, 3D work, graphics, textiles and fashion. You’ll benefit from work experience, trips, guest speakers, and in the summer term, you’ll showcase your final project to the public in a professional art exhibition.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

You will need four GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent, (including English and maths) 

AND

a portfolio of artwork/photography

This Could Lead to

Once completed you may be able to progress to study a Level 3 Art & Design, Fashion, Graphics or Photography course to advance your skills, or move to an Apprenticeship.
