If you like getting stuck into practical work, are a great problem solver, and are interested in how electrical systems function, you could enjoy a career as an Electrician.
This course will teach you a range of skills and techniques, such as how to wire circuits, install lighting, and troubleshoot electrical issues. You’ll learn through a combination of classroom sessions and practical lessons in our fully equipped workshops.
By the end of this one-year course, you’ll have a foundation of knowledge to confidently take the next step towards a higher-level course or an apprenticeship.
Electrical Installation is an important skillset that keeps homes, businesses and other buildings functioning smoothly. You could work in a wide range of sectors, in large or small businesses, or be self-employed.
You will need five GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent (including English and maths).
Once completed you may be able to progress to the Level 2 Electical Installation (Building Services) qualification to further your skills and prepare you for work.
