Carpenters and Joiners have valuable skillsets and are essential within the construction industry. They will be involved in everything from building frameworks, to roofing and flooring, to doors, cabinets and other furniture.
This course will give you a starting point to progress to a higher-level qualification or apprenticeship.
You will learn to work safely and with confidence in construction, with a focus on carpentry and joinery skills such as constructing joints and fixings, fitting locks and latches, using hand tools and more.
PLEASE NOTE – Due to an unprecedented demand for this course at Eastleigh College, we are no longer taking applications for this September. This course is currently still available to apply for at one or more of our college locations, as indicated below.
You will need five GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent (including English and maths).
Once completed you may be able to progress to Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery, alternatively into an apprenticeship.
