Carpenters and Joiners have valuable skillsets and are essential within the construction industry. They will be involved in everything from building frameworks, to roofing and flooring, to doors, cabinets and other furniture.
This course will give you a starting point to progress to a higher-level qualification or apprenticeship.
You will learn to work safely and with confidence in construction, with a focus on carpentry and joinery skills such as constructing joints and fixings, fitting locks and latches, using hand tools and more.

You will need five GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent (including English and maths).
Once completed you may be able to progress to Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery, alternatively into an apprenticeship.
