Join us every week (term time) to learn a new skill in Everyday Cooking, while exploring the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. 

We will cover:   

You will build confidence in the kitchen by preparing simple, seasonal recipes that support nutritious eating habits. From sweet treats to savoury meals.

Alongside practical cooking, students will: 

  • Learn the basics of nutrition and how food choices impact overall health. 

  • Explore wellbeing and mindfulness techniques to support mental and emotional balance. 

  • Discover the benefits of physical activity and how it complements a healthy diet. 

  • Gain experience using a variety of kitchen equipment and understand the fundamentals of food hygiene and safety.

What You'll Need

This course is suitable for adults with mild to moderate learning needs who live independently and want to build confidence and practical skills for everyday life. 

Our friendly Adult Community Learning team will be in contact once we have received your application so we can assess your suitability for the course. This course is part of our Adult Enrichment Programme.
