The Course in Detail

The Level 3 BPEC CCN1 Re-assessment is designed for experienced and qualified gas engineers who need to renew their ACS certification and maintain their eligibility for Gas Safe Registration. The programme enables candidates to demonstrate continued competence in core domestic gas safety activities, including gas safety legislation, tightness testing and purging, gas pipework, ventilation requirements, unsafe situations procedures, and the installation, servicing and maintenance of domestic gas appliances.

The qualification is assessed through a combination of written examinations and practical assessments against nationally recognised industry standards. Successful completion provides evidence of ongoing professional competence and supports continued employment within the gas industry. Engineers can undertake reassessment up to six months before their certification expires without losing any time on their current certificate. Candidates whose certification has lapsed by more than 12 months will be required to complete the initial assessment route.

This course is ideal for practising gas engineers seeking to maintain compliance with current regulations, refresh their knowledge of industry updates and continue working safely and legally within the domestic gas sector. It also supports employers in meeting statutory requirements by ensuring their workforce remains qualified, competent and Gas Safe registered.
