Today was safari day!!! We departed from Vijiji lodge around 5:30am and had a 3 journey to ngorongoro crater. When we arrived at the gate the first thing we saw was a lot of baboons! We saw 1 or 2 at first but after a while there were around 100, our driver told us that they were probably walking to go steal some crops from local farmers. As we started our decent into the crater the first animals we saw were giraffes. They were so close to the car! We ended up seeing, giraffes, vultures, zebras, wilder beast, flamingos, gazelles, warthog, ostriches, rhinos, hippos and elephants!!!

I was most excited to see hippos as they are my favourite. We have lunch at a hippo poolside however every time a hippo started coming out of the water it would go back in when I tried to take a photo, very annoying! But this was still one of my favourite parts of the safari!! However I think seeing the elephants beat seeing the hippos. They were so close and one crossed the road right in front of us! I felt so lucky to see them! The safari was the best way to round up an amazing trip!
