Day 1- the trip started at 5am on Friday 18th of April 2025 at fareham college. We arrived at london gatwick at around 7am with a minibus. After getting all checked in we had to wait about 1,2 hours before boarding. During that time we went to the duty free and bought some food. the plane left at 10:55 in direction to Istanbul which took 4 hours. we then had to wait for about an hour before boarding the next plane. before arriving to kilimanjaro airport we stoped at zanzibar because the plane needed more petrol. during that time more people came on the plane as it was supposed to go back straight to Istanbul after dropping us off at kilimanjaro airport. we finally arrived at 4 am and had to have our visas checked and once that was done we had to put our luggage’s through security again. once out of the airport a man with a minibus was waiting for us to take us to our accommodations. We then finally arrived at 6:15 AM and we then all went straight to bed after checking in. at 11 AM the same day breakfast was served and at 1 PM a man came and told us things about Tanzania, he taught us basic greetings such as “jambo” which means hello, he told us about the difference tribes in tanzania and there differences which was very interesting, he also told us about the ressources found in tanzania such as tanzanite. After that we didn’t have nothing in particular to do so we mostly sat around the swimming pool playing uno and even taking a nap before dinner was served at 6pm which was really good there was beef, with rice, potatoes and some vegetables.
