Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance

This course is designed for those responsible for leading a team of internal quality assurers (IQAs) and supporting the quality of assessment within an organisation or assessment centre.

You’ll develop an understanding of the key principles and practices behind internal quality assurance, alongside the practical skills needed to carry out and manage these processes effectively. This includes planning quality assurance activities, supporting your team, and ensuring assessment standards are consistently met.

As part of the course, you’ll also learn how to organise and oversee work within your area of responsibility, including allocating tasks, monitoring progress, and maintaining high standards across your team.

The course is made up of three units:

• Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
• Internally assuring the quality of assessment
• Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

By the end of the course, you’ll be confident in managing internal quality assurance processes and leading a team to maintain effective and consistent assessment practices.
