The Course in Detail
Learn how to select, adopt and manage AI solutions responsibly within your organisation. You’ll explore how to evaluate AI tools and suppliers, compare their costs and performance, and make informed decisions based on testing, evidence and your organisation’s needs.
You’ll develop your understanding of the risks involved in adopting AI, including data protection, intellectual property, sustainability and reliance on third-party suppliers. You’ll also learn how to put effective AI governance frameworks in place, establish clear roles and responsibilities, and build ethical, legal and regulatory considerations into decision-making.
The unit will cover how to maintain transparency, meet compliance requirements and ensure AI systems can be monitored and audited. You’ll also explore the importance of human oversight, helping you make sure AI is used safely, responsibly and in a way that supports people as well as business objectives.
By the end of the unit, you’ll be better equipped to evaluate AI solutions, guide procurement decisions and put the right governance and safeguards in place to support effective, accountable and sustainable AI adoption within your organisation.
Please note: This course is not a full apprenticeship. It is a standalone apprenticeship training course focused on developing relevant skills and knowledge.
This course runs over six weeks, with five 5-hour sessions held on Friday mornings (25 hours in total).
