If you are interested in working with children, young people and communities and supporting others to achieve their potential, the Education Career Pathway gives you the opportunity to combine specialist, career focussed learning with academic study.

Combining a V Level in Education with carefully selected A Levels and other Level qualifications, this pathway develops technical knowledge, analytical thinking and transferable skills valued by universities and employers. 

Through a flexible programme of study, you can tailor your career pathway to reflect your interests and future ambitions while maintaining broad progression opportunities. 

What will I study?

Your core subject will be:

V Level Education

You will then choose a study programme based on the following options: 

• V Level Education + A Level Psychology + A Level English Language
• V Level Education + A Level Psychology + V Level Digital Systems and Data
• V Level Education + A Level English Language + V Level Digital Systems and Data
• V Level Education + A Level Mathematics + V Level Digital Systems and Data

A V Level combined with A Levels provides both specialist knowledge and academic breadth. This means you do not need to commit to a single career at age 16. Instead, you can build a study programme that reflects your interests while keeping a wide range of progression opportunities open for university, apprenticeships and employment.

How will I learn?

You’ll combine academic study with practical, career-focused learning.

You’ll learn through classroom activities, practical tasks, workshops and enrichment activities, helping you connect your studies with real-world situations.

You’ll also take part in our career development programme where you will be given opportunities to learn from industry experts, participate in employer-led experiences, develop a wide range of employability skills, as well as take part in enrichment activities and undertake meaningful work experience.
