Backed by over £13 million in funding from the Department for Education, the South Coast Institute of Technology (IoT) is a collaboration of four further education colleges and two universities. We work with employers to deliver industry-led courses which fill skills gaps and support the economic growth of the South Coast.
The maritime, engineering and digital industries are some of the most diverse and rapidly expanding sectors in our region, with tens of thousands of job vacancies for talented people. Our high-quality training, industry-expert lecturers, real-world curriculum and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities will help local people to live, study and work locally and realise their potential.
Building work has started on six capital grant projects to create innovative industry-standard facilities, including the construction of new Centres of Excellence and the expansion of existing centres across providers.
The South Coast IoT offers high-quality training and education across a range of courses (including T-levels, HNCs/HNDs and bachelor’s degrees), professional training and higher apprenticeships. We are dedicated to widening opportunities in higher education by offering flexible and affordable qualifications to adults of all ages. We are also committed to addressing the lack of diversity in some parts of the STEM workforce.
Whether you are a student looking to pursue a career in these diverse and expanding industries or if you’re a local business looking to invest and upskill your future workforce, please visit the South Coast Institute of Technology’s collaborative website to find out more.
