The course also involves blended learning, meaning students have the opportunity to access lectures and activities at a time that works for them. Alongside the abundance of resources available from both Southampton College and University of Portsmouth, the course also includes a selection of workshops and guest speakers throughout the year.

Entry Requirements & Progression
What You'll Need
You must have a Level 5 Counselling qualification plus evidence of at least 100 counselling placement hours plus GCSE English at grade 4/C or above, or equivalent. You will also be required to pass an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before starting the course.
Whilst you will be based at Southampton College, you will also be a University of Portsmouth student and will therefore be able to access their facilities and support.
This Could Lead to
This Bachelor’s degree will give you the knowledge needed to apply for roles in health centres or therapy clinics, within the NHS, private hospitals, prisons and the community.
