The Course in Detail

The Level 3 qualification in barbering includes some of the following units:

•  Cutting men’s hair to create a variety of looks
•  Cutting facial hair to create a variety of looks
•  Colouring hair to create a variety of looks
•  Creative hair design
•  Scalp massage
•  Promoting and selling products and services to clients
•  All of the skills required to become an advanced barber

An element of home study will be expected to be able to complete written assignments needed to support an understanding of technical theory which will then be put into practice carrying out practical tasks.

Entry Requirements & Progression

What You'll Need

This course requires a good level of dexterity for application, literacy for communication and willingness to explore new things. You will need to have completed a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing. There will be an interview and skills test prior to enrolment.

This Could Lead to

Students completing this course will have the necessary skills to progress into employment as a barber.
