Build Your Career Pathway

New for September 2027

Why choose between academic and vocational learning when you can combine both?

From September 2027, Fareham College will offer three new Career Pathways combining selected V Levels and A Levels, giving you career-focused learning with academic ambition. More Career Pathways will follow in 2028, including at Eastleigh College and Southampton College.

Vocational

Academic

Join us to build a programme of vocational and academic study around your strengths, interests and ambitions, with the flexibility to develop the advanced-level skills and knowledge you need for your next steps.

Whether you’re aiming for university, a higher or degree apprenticeship, or further study through a HNC or HND, your Career Pathway can help you get there.

Applications for September 2027 open on 1 October 2026 for all Level 3 qualifications across South Hampshire College Group (SHCG), including T Levels and our V Level & A Level combination programmes.

Career Pathways

What is a Career Pathway?

Career Pathways bring academic study and practical, career-focused learning together, giving you the flexibility to choose a programme that reflects your interests, strengths and future ambitions. You’ll study three subjects over two years within your chosen pathway.

V Levels are equivalent in size to A Levels. Level 3 Career Pathways combine V Levels (vocational) and A Levels (academic), so you can choose from combinations such as:

V Level + V Level + A Level

or

V Level + A Level + A Level

We are excited to be launching Career Pathways for 2027 in:

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Digital Systems & Data
  • Education

Whether you’re planning to progress to further study, an apprenticeship or employment, Career Pathways give you the opportunity to build a programme that works for you and where you want to go next.
