This course will introduce you to what Life Coaching is about. You will learn techniques that will enable you to reassess yourself and redefine what success in life means to you.
You will start the process of reassessing your life. You will identify clear goals and the obstacles to your achieving them. You will learn a range of psychological techniques and life skills that can be used to help you achieve your ambitions. A College Certificate will be awarded to recognise each learners personal achievement.
Each week will consist of a particular psychological technique, or life skill covered by the subject of life coaching. In the class there will be practical exercises (either undertaken individually, in pairs, or in small groups) applying that week’s topic knowledge and skills. Each week, where appropriate, course participants will apply the ideas and strategies they have learnt to aspects of their own lives using homework exercises. There will be some compulsory homework exercises that will be assessed merely to ensure that the course participants have understood the course topic and have been able to apply it to themselves. There will be no pass or fail criteria involved.
You will be taught by a certified life coach. Your tutor will be both friendly and accommodating, ensuring your experience on the workshop is fun and engaging.
Course fee concessions are possible – eligibility is based on income.

College is not just about your course – it’s an opportunity to have fun, meet new people and explore your interests! You can socialise with friends in the café and comfy seating areas, join a club or sports team or attend exciting events around the college. Many of our enrichment opportunities are also great on your CV or UCAS application to demonstrate your commitment and enthusiasm outside of your studies.
Your time at college can also be affected by life or health difficulties, and it’s okay to need support. Our specialist teams are here every day to listen and give advice, whether it’s about career planning, financial support, mental health, or something else. And if you have a long-term support need or medical condition, we’ll work with you on personalised learning support to help you achieve your full potential.
