The Course in Detail

This course offers a series of sessions which progress step by step through theory, practical work, discussion and demonstrations. You will look at a variety of styles and the methods these styles employ. You will look at the work of well known artists and discuss their ideas, paintings and drawings.
By the end of the course you will be able to create a piece of artwork that takes colour, tone, pattern, texture, form, shape and composition into account, that you will enjoy making and looking at/exhibiting.

A College Certificate is awarded on request.

This Could Lead to

Do you want to develop your drawing and painting skills but can’t commit to a full-time course? Our Drawing and Painting Workshop could be the option for you! Whether you love pencil, charcoal, painting or print, art is a fantastic release in a busy world. However, for many of us, this valuable hobby can become lost in the 9-5 and family life.
During this workshop, you will learn how to create a piece of artwork that takes colour, tone, pattern, texture, form, shape and composition into account.
You will learn how to create something that looks both skilful and feels true to your personal love of art. Many of our workshop participants have even gone on to exhibit their art: something your tutor will always be happy to advise you on.

This course is also suitable for learners who want to experiment with different mediums, find their own art style, or just get creative with likeminded people.
