The aim of this course is to learn how to relax by learning the art of breathing slowly and deeply. You will use some warming up stretches and do some yoga postures to an individual’s own limits.
This course has been designed for adults with mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
Relaxation releases stress. Deep breathing calms the mind and body. Stretching and doing the postures releases a lot of tension in the body.
The tutor will give you support and advice.
You do not need previous knowledge or experience. You will learn through verbal instructions, watching and modelling. You will be shown what to do.
This is a leisure course designed to be fun and engaging. Whilst there is no official progression, learners are welcome to re-enrol onto this course or try one of our other Adult Enrichment courses.
