The Course in Detail

Ready to take your Travel and Tourism skills higher?

This course will equip you to tackle the evolving needs of the industry, with a focus on global and UK travel, customer experience, and emerging trends like sustainability and technology within the travel industry.

Over two years, you’ll explore 18 units covering topics such as airline cabin crew, responsible tourism, heritage travel, marketing, and customer service and much more. You’ll develop a deep understanding of the industry and gain the skills needed to think creatively and respond to the changing expectations of travellers.

Learning will include a mix of lectures, industry workshops, and group activities. Assessments will be through written assignments, role plays, group work, and presentations, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the sector. You’ll also complete a work placement, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

What You'll Need

You will need five GCSEs at grades 4-9, or equivalent, (including English and maths)

OR

Relevant Level 2 qualification (merit or distinction grade) including GCSE English and maths at grades 4-9, or equivalent.

This Could Lead to

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Extended Diploma course, you may be able to progress to a Foundation Degree or Higher National Certificate (HNC) at university.

Alternatively you could work in travel and tourism, leisure, customer service, hospitality or events.
