The Course in Detail

Do you have a creative streak, attention to detail and love the feeling of completing a big project? You could enjoy a career in Painting and Decorating.
 
Painting and Decorating are valuable skills that gives you the ability to transform any space. It is essential for homes, businesses, libraries, schools, and many other structures.
 
This course will teach you a range of skills and techniques for your future career, through hands-on classes in our specialist workshop. You’ll learn how to prepare surfaces for decoration, applying paint systems by brush and roller, applying foundation and plain wallpapers, and more.
 
By the end of this one-year course, you’ll have a strong foundation of knowledge to take the next step towards a higher-level course or an apprenticeship.

What You'll Need

You will need five GCSEs at grades 3-9, or equivalent (including English and maths).

This Could Lead to

Once completed you may be able to progress to the Level 2 Painting & Decorating qualification to further your skills.
