The Course in Detail

This qualification is intended for those who want to gain the knowledge and abilities that will enable you to gain the underlying knowledge to progress onto an Electrotechnical Apprenticeship Programme or to the Level 3 2365 course.

The Level 2 qualification is designed for new entrants to the industry, providing them with the basic skills and experience they need.

The Level 3 qualification is aimed at those who have already completed the Level 2 qualification.

The course is assessed by means of online exams, written assessments and practical assessments.

What You'll Need

No prior qualifications are required but you will need to pass an aptitude test, including an initial Maths assessment, and have an interview before being offered a place on the course.

A career as an Electrician is both fulfilling and reliable; and for those who wish to dip their toes into this exciting industry, our Electrical Installations Level 2 award could be for you. It’s designed for students who aspire to become an electrician, but don’t yet meet the requirements needed for an apprenticeship. The programme is the ideal springboard to move into both the Level 3 Electrical Installation course or an Electrical Installation Apprenticeship. Previous learners on this course are Self Employed electrical improvers, or not yet employed in Electrical Contracted industry, so do not meet the Apprenticeship criteria- where full employment in electrical industry is necessary.
