The Course in Detail

In just a few short weeks you will have learnt how to create a variety of different cakes such as Cupcakes, Lemon Drizzle, Cookies and Traybakes.  However the skills these basic cakes will give you will open up a whole new world of baking.  You will also have a better understanding of the tools and equipment used in baking, as well as know how to read, understand and follow recipes.

Even if things don’t quite go to plan, it really doesn’t matter in this class.  In this supportive and encouraging learning environment, your tutor will help you work out what went wrong and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again in the future.

This course is suitable for complete beginners who want to learn how to successfully bake cakes. All learners aged 19 and over are welcome.

Have you always dreamed of producing your own delicious home bakes for that special family occasion but your skills have let you down?  Did your Victoria Sandwich turn out more like a pancake?  Then our Baking for Beginners could be the course for you! 

This hands-on course will have you turn out cakes like Mary Berry in no time.  Whilst this course does not have any formal qualifications, you will be spending time with like minded baking beginners under the guidance of our baking tutor.  This programme will give you the skills and confidence to bake a range of beautiful and tasty cakes for friends and family.
