This course will provide an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed to gain and retain employment. You will gain skills in communication, confidence, looking and applying for work, whilst understanding what is meant by the terms “resilience” and “grit” and how these can be used to support your own behaviour and character in the workplace. This course will be taught by a tutor by means of PowerPoint presentations, group discussions and class-based workshops. You will complete a workbook as part of this qualification which will be assessed by your tutor at the end of the course. Assessment is purely based on the workbook – there will be no internal or external exams to sit. On successful completion of the course and workbook, you will achieve the following qualifications: ASCENTIS Entry 3 Award in Skills for Employment ASCENTIS Entry 3 Award in The Importance of Resilience and Grit Great news — your course might be free! If you’re aged 19 or over, you could be eligible for funding in many cases, that means you won’t have to pay the full cost of your course, or anything at all. Depending on your personal circumstances, such as your income, employment status or previous qualifications, there are a range of options available. There are no formal entry requirements necessary for this course.
The two qualifications gained on this course can be used as a foundation to progress to further qualifications at Level 1 and Level 2.
