The Course in Detail

The HND in Photography is a nationally recognised qualification run by industry professionals and is a natural progression from the HNC. It can lead you onto a full degree at university or directly into employment. You will work independently on a choice of live project briefs that will provide you with invaluable work experience and professional practice. You will demonstrate your abilities in a range of techniques, skills and areas of work both on location and in our state-of-the-art photography studio. This course is classified as a full-time course. It includes 1.5 contact days per week at college and will culminate in an exhibition where you will showcase your work in a professional setting to the public, local employers and higher education institutions. The HND is a far more cost effective option than a degree. “This course gives you every opportunity to develop as a photographer through practical work, projects and collaborative work. This course has enhanced the skills that I need to begin a business as a photographer but more importantly, it has given me the confidence and belief as a mature student to go on to University later this year to get a full degree.” – Andrea Webb progressing to a BA (Hons) Photography Bournemouth University (Salisbury college).
