What You'll Need

This Could Lead to

A career in counselling is both challenging and fulfilling, demanding and invigorating. It is also an industry that continuously needs more and more passionate, skilful applicants. Our DipHE Humanistic Counselling two-year qualification is a brilliant way to welcome new professionals into this world. Curated in collaboration with University of Portsmouth, this L5 course teaches students how to deliver the humanistic, person-centred counselling modality. Humanism is built on human freedom, dignity and potential. You will learn how humanistic counselling encourages empathy, warmth and genuineness, promoting clients to tap into their own self-understanding and psychological growth. As well as gaining the practical knowledge and interpersonal skills you need to pursue a career as a humanistic therapist, you may also choose to top up your diploma to a Bachelor’s degree with our one-year BSc (Hons) Humanistic Counselling course. This course shares the same first year modules as our DipHE Gestalt Counselling and DipHE Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. As such, you will have the option to switch courses at the end of year one, if you wish.
